Kaitlyn graduated from Lakehead University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts and Science (Honours), majoring in criminology and anthropology. She then continued her education and received her graduate certificate in Paralegal Studies from Georgian College. She received her P1 Paralegal License in 2018 from the Law Society of Ontario. She joined Carroll Heyd Chown LLP in 2019 as Legal Assistant to Mr. David Thompson. In September 2020, she began her first year of law school through the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. Upon completion of her first year at the University of Windsor, she rejoined the Carroll Heyd Chown family as a summer student in April 2021.
Born and raised in Barrie, Kaitlyn cares deeply for the community and has volunteered with various community initiatives such as Barrie Lawyers Feed the Hungry, United Way’s Holiday with a Hero, and Barrie’s chapter of Christmas Cheer. Kaitlyn has also spent time volunteering with the Barrie Soccer Club as a soccer coach.
When not working or in school, Kaitlyn can be found hiking around Central Ontario with her rescue dog, Auggie.
