David joined our firm in 2009 after practicing insurance litigation in Toronto, Ontario. He entered the partnership in 2018. David handles complex litigation files such as multi-party construction litigation, personal injury, shareholder disputes and real estate litigation. He has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario. David’s common-sense approach to advocacy has earned him the respect of colleagues and opponents and produced favourable results for his clients.
David is very active in the profession and in the community. He currently serves as a subcommittee chair on the Advocates’ Society’s 10+ Standing Committee and as a director of the Rotary Club of Barrie. He is very involved with his local church group and provides pro bono education law services through Pro Bono Law Ontario.
Outside of the office, David’s greatest passion is his family. He loves spending time with his wife Tina, baby daughter Ruby, Wilson the cat, and Prince the chocolate lab puppy. David’s secondary passion is running. He qualified and was accepted for the 2020 Boston Marathon. Unfortunately, COVID turned this into a virtual marathon. He plans to train so that he can requalify at some point, with his training partners Ruby (in a running stroller) and Prince (on a leash).
David is fluent in German and Swedish. He is trying very hard to learn Spanish.
