Criminal Injuries Compensation
Compensation can be awarded for pain and suffering, but also for actual expenses, such as those incurred in relation to therapy, treatment, travel, or loss of income.
How We Can Help
All too often, victims of crime, recuperating from their experience, are left without sufficient financial support. Governed by the Compensation for Victims of Crime Act in Ontario, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board is an administrative tribunal that provides financial compensation to victims (or family members of deceased victims) of violent crimes that occur in Ontario.
Compensation can be awarded for pain and suffering, but also for actual expenses, such as those incurred in relation to therapy, treatment, travel, or loss of income.
