Matthew went to law school at Aberystwyth University in Wales, where he completed a concentrated two-year Bachelor of Law degree. During his time in law school Matthew was the chairman for the Board of Academic Representatives, acting as a bridge between the students and faculty. Matthew is a
graduate of Brock University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration.

Matthew completed his LLP practical training with Carroll Heyd Chown and joined the firm as an associate following his 2022 Call to the Bar.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his two cats, Napoleon and Marnie, swimming, and reading the latest Brandon Sanderson novel.
