
Background
Patricia is a casual associate lawyer whose practice focuses on research and drafting materials on a variety of insurance-related litigation matters.
Patricia has experience practicing civil litigation with a focus on insurance-related litigation including, but not limited to, motor vehicle accidents, product liability, fire loss, coverage opinions, and professional negligence. She has assisted clients in matters before the Ontario Small Claims Court, Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. She has also prepared written submissions for a case seeking leave to the Supreme Court of Canada.
She practiced primarily insurance defence litigation full-time at Carroll Heyd Chown LLP from 2016-2018 before returning in 2019 to focus on research. Patricia completed her articles at a prominent full-service firm in Toronto.
Patricia previously held the position of Library Chair on the Board of Directors for the Simcoe County Law Association (SCLA). Patricia is the Retreat Coordinator for Knight’s Cabin Cancer Retreats, where she also was a member of the Board of Directors for four years.
Patricia is parent to much-loved dog named Rochester. Outside the office she teaches and enjoys Crossfit, tea, rugby, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
